…thanks to Sue from Weekly Prompts for hosting this week’s colour challenge https://weeklyprompts.com/2022/06/04/weekly-prompts-colour-challenge-nautical-blue/
What is nautical blue? According to some sites on the internet it is the following:
There are a surprising number of colours that can be considered nautical. Some of the most popular include deep blue, navy, red, black, white, turquoise, sand or khaki, brick, cream, sea green, sky blue, yellow, shades of gray, and more.
Sue is allowing us to interpret the colour nautical blue as we please. Here is my interpretation of nautical blue.

….thanks to Frank from Dutch Goes the Photo for hosting the Tuesday Photo Challenge https://dutchgoesthephoto.net/2021/01/26/tuesday-photo-challenge-all-you-need-is-love/
I love the theme this week. Love does make the world go round. What do you love? Here are some of the things that come to mind for me.
Being surrounded by water year round.
My husband and how he makes me laugh and for all the wonderful meals he cooks for me.
My family and the joy they bring from near and far.
For some reason the photos I have of my sister who lives in Calgary would not allow me to post them. I miss her terribly.
I also love to walk in nature, take photographs and make art.

Whether it’s close to home or up at the cottage, my quiet places almost always include water. Pictures #1, 5 and 6 were taken right here in Toronto and the others from Georgian Bay.

Of all the places I’ve visited the place I’d like to return to is Venice. I loved everything about it.

…thanks to Maria from City Sonnets for hosting the August Photo a Day Challenge
The challenge for August 7th is to find a photo that depicts tranquility.
….thanks to Becky B for hosting the month long challenge, July Blues
I’ve been off and on to the cottage this month and it makes it difficult to post daily because I have no electricity or internet access. So I’ve saved up a batch of blue photos to share with you. The challenge is now over but Becky has compiled a gallery of blue photos that she’s worked hard to put together. Go check it out.
…thanks to Nancy Merrill for hosting the Photo a Week Challenge
My second most favourite colour is blue. Here are my entries for the theme blue.

Water…..where do I begin? I live next to a huge body of water, Lake Ontario and I spend much of my summer at the cottage next to Georgian Bay. I literally have thousands of photos of water. Here is one of my more recent ones.
