Wordless Wednesday or Thoughtful Thursday
I’m Losing Track of the Days – Here’s Wednesday’s Wacky Bird
….on Thursday with a bonus bird for Winnie
Some days I don’t even get out of my pyjamas until noon and I don’t get moving until dinner time. I’m not depressed but I am under a lot of stress. Our daughter and her husband are looking for a house and the buying market is absolutely crazy. I’m not talking about just Toronto but north, east and west of the city the bids are going $100 000 to $175 000 above the asking price. How young people can afford to buy a house these days is beyond me.
I digress. This post is suppose to be about Kevin’s wacky bird for Wednesday. I know it’s Thursday but I think I felt compelled to tell you why I’m so late. This is Armchair Bird.
Earlier in the week, Winnie was down in the dumps. Her mother told us that even the most random thoughts would make her cry. On Tuesday she started to cry when she found out that Pluto is not considered a planet. I know it’s old news but she’s only five. To cheer her up she requested that her papa draw her a bird that looked like a parrot and that it be called Bonkers. So here is Bonkers the Parrot. By the way, it did the trick.
Thursday Doors – In the Town of Dundas, ON

Today my husband and I did one of our nature hikes outside of the city but the conditions were less than ideal. Although it was a beautiful, sunny and mild day the melting snow had turned to ice and walking was somewhat treacherous. After visiting a couple of waterfalls near Hamilton we decided to drive into Dundas and walk down the main street and take in the shops. Here are just a few of the interesting doors we observed on our stroll through town.

Monday Murals – Art Commissioned for Our Enjoyment
…thanks to Sami from Colourful World

I love murals and street art. Sometimes we see things so often, almost daily, and we take it for granted. In my neighbourhood there are lots of murals that have been commissioned over the years that I had completely forgotten about when thinking of this challenge. Here are just a few of the murals that are close together in my neck of the woods.
This last one is my favourite. It almost feels like there is an actual Mountie up on a ladder painting the last bit of red on the wall. Notice his horse waiting for him on the other side of the bus shelter.
