…living on the shores of Lake Ontario, especially in the winter, never disappoints the photographer in me

….we’ve been waiting all day for the snow to start
A major snowstorm is heading our way. In fact it started about three hours ago and is suppose to continue all night and well into the morning. When I went out this evening for a walk I was beginning to wonder if the snow was actually coming because there were very few clouds in the sky. On my way back home, however, I noticed these amazing pink clouds in the western sky as the sun was setting.

….when I saw it through my bedroom window I knew it was special
I quickly threw on my coat, put on my hat and gloves and ran out the door. I wish I had added a scarf but I walked quickly to the park and then headed west to 10th Street. I was trying to capture as many angles of the sunset as I could. I knew that it wouldn’t last long and the brisk walk helped keep me warm. Here is what I managed to capture.
