After baking today I rummaged through the garden at the Inn and pulled some glorious carrots that had been planted earlier in the year. Some were very small and others were lovely and plump. I grouped them in sevens and here’s what I came up with.

Every Wednesday the bakers get together to shape the bread and bake it in the wood-fired oven. After it’s finished it goes to the Farmers’ Market to be sold.

On my drive to the cottage today I stopped at Harris Farms to pick up some corn on the cob. I found seven heads of cabbage and seven jars of jam for today’s challenge.

Seven Loaves

Wednesday is baking day for me at the Inn. Yesterday I made the dough and today we shape the dough into loaves or boles and bake them in our outdoor wood fired oven.
