When I need to take it ‘easy’ I like to doodle or paint. This particular painting was ‘easy’ to do and helped me momentarily to take my mind off of our health issues. Thankfully we are both fully recovering.

According to Wikipedia Citrus Sinensis is as follows: Citrus × sinensis (sometimes written Citrus sinensis), also known as the sweet oranges, is a commonly cultivated family of oranges that includes blood oranges and navel oranges.[1]
I was sure I was looking for a lemony yellow colour but it turns out it’s more orange and can include blood orange.

There are art pieces that I consider ‘exquisite’ because they speak to me. They can be large or small, refined or bold and realistic or abstract. The following pieces from our most recent art show at WAAC, From Nature to Abstraction, I find ‘exquisite.

Close to where a dear friend lives I witnessed what happens when a community comes together to create gardens on land that would normally be ignored. Some of the gardens are pollinator gardens and others have bird houses to attract birds. The schools have become involved by encouraging children to paint signs and make sculptures that have been carefully placed among the plants.
