Here are two of my favourite blue shots that are now square.

Going back to 2018 when we were in London, England I spent a few days at the V&A, exploring the art, the architecture and the special exhibitions. I even spent some time there drawing the sculptures. Here are two shots for past squares of circles.

...thanks to Sandy this week for hosting the Friendly Friday Challenge https://thesandychronicles.blog/2021/01/29/friendly-friday-challenge-special-treats/
I have quite the sweet tooth but mostly for cookies or cakes. I’ve never been one for candy, other than chocolate. My husband also has a sweet tooth and he has asked me not to bring any sweets into the house for awhile. If I have one cookie he’ll eat three.
For the challenge this week I’ve gone back into the archives to search for special treats. I soon discovered that not all yummy pleasures have to be made with sugar. Fresh strawberries and homemade pizza are always special in our house.
…Jan. 24, 2021 was Sevin’s first birthday
It was more than just our granddaughter’s first birthday.
First Snow
First time with balloons and new toys and close to taking first steps.
First time wearing her new outfit that Auntie Gaelan made her.
First birthday cake and first Zoom birthday party for all of us.
Happy day of firsts.
…thanks to Xingfu Mama for hosting the Pull Up a Seat Challenge https://xingfumama.blog/2021/01/22/pull-up-a-seat-photo-challenge-2021-week-4/
The temperatures are finally beginning to fall and with that comes abandoned outdoor seating. Over in London, where my family has to work from home, even a spot at the end of the bed becomes a seat to work from and in the case of our granddaughter the floor under a desk is good spot to sit so that she can be close to her Papa.
….on Christmas Eve
We decided as a family this year to celebrate Christmas in our homes and connect via Zoom. On Christmas Eve, early in the afternoon our kids drove to our house to drop off and pick up gifts. Gaelan ordered special donuts to share with everyone. It was not a particularly nice day but our meeting took place between rain showers so we also managed to get in a walk to to the park at the bottom of our street.
Everyone wore their masks, some more festive than others and some of us wore our special hats and antlers.
I even got Frances to get into the festive spirit for all of 10 seconds. My husband said she’s slowing down in her old age.
Our get together was short because we all had to get back home and do a Zoom Christmas with Brendan and his family in London, England. It was Sevin’s first Christmas and it was fun watching her open her gifts from the family.
…thanks to Sandy for hosting this week’s Friendly Friday Photo Challenge https://thesandychronicles.blog/2020/09/18/friendly-friday-morning-rituals/
My morning ritual changes depending on the time of year and where I am. The one constant, though, is my morning coffee.
