It’s difficult for me to post on the weekend when I’m at the cottage. I have no electricity or internet. I’m lucky if I get a bar or two on my phone. If I do it’s short lived and I can quickly check for messages or a few emails. Hence this weekend challenge is being posted on Tuesday.

Nothing says vintage red to me like red roses, hibiscus, old fashioned mums, poinsettias and cardinals. There is no doubt that the interior of this royal bedroom in Amboise and the mini library are both vintage colours.

Travelling to Peterborough for our grandson’s graduation and waking up to this lovely sight the next morning is whatsoever lovely for me.
Ducks All in a Row – I’m a Fan of Ducklings

I always feel blessed when I get to see baby birds, goslings and ducklings. They grow up so quickly and they usually go through an ugly duckling stage. The ducklings that I saw along Meade Creek in Peterborough were not quite at the ‘ugly’ stage but they were no longer the cute fuzzy babies that they once were.
I was surprised how close the mother let me go up to her brood. The geese on the other hand were much more protective and cut me off when I tried to get closer.
