Contrasts of Textures

….even though Christmas is long over there are still signs

One of the things that I still see in front of homes and businesses are boxes and planters of Christmas greens and foliage. I love the contrast of colours and textures when you observe them close-up.

after such a mild January it’s not surprising that the shrubs and vines are confused

Since these photos were taken last week we’ve had snow but the temperatures are just hovering around freezing. Later this week that will change when the temperatures are suppose to drop to -24 degrees celsius.
