On the Hunt for Joy Challenge – Week 7 – Make Yourself Feel Small
….thanks to Cee for hosting On the Hunt for Joy Challenge
What makes you feel small? Standing under a very tall tree, sitting inside a very large church, looking up at a dinosaur or sitting in an oversized chair?

LPM – Photo Adventure – Still Life
……Thanks to Little Pieces of Me
for hosting the Photo Adventure.
One of my hobbies, besides photography, is baking bread. Every week I volunteer at a local historic museum called Montgomery’s Inn where I prepare the dough and help bake it in the outdoor oven. After it’s baked it’s sold the same day at the Farmers’ Market which supports local farmers, food producers and bakers all year round.
Here is the focaccia that I baked today.

Introducing Our Newest Addition to the Family
…born January 24, 2020
Our son and his beautiful wife just blessed us with a new granddaughter on the 24th of January. Her name is Sevin (pronounced Seveen) and she came into this world weighing just over 8 pounds. We are looking forward to meeting her when we fly to London, England on March 16th. For now we have photos, videos and live WhatsApp chats.

Playing
…with my granddaughter
It’s amazing to me what I won’t do for my granddaughter. Getting down at her level is not easy for me. It’s one reason why I want to get into better shape. On Friday my husband and I spent the day in Hamilton to give our daughter some time to work on her at home business. The teachers here are on rotating strikes so we try to help whenever we can. Here are some of the images of our playful day.

Day 29 – Sharing Sketchbooks
….day 29 of the 30 Day Creativity Challenge
Thanks Rainee for inspiring me to create for 30 days.
Last Friday I spent the day with our granddaughter again. I brought her a sketchbook just like mine and her own blending stick. This, however, did not keep her from drawing in my book. I saw a picture on the wall of a simple vase with leaves pouring out of the top. I started drawing it. When Winnie saw what I was doing she added more leaves to my picture and started to colour in the vase.
When she was done with that she turned to a fresh page in my book and drew her own vase with leaves.
Here she used her blending stick on the pencil and white charcoal details she added. She asked me to make a speech balloon with the saying ‘I need you’.
