The swans today were very friendly and came right up to the edge of the beach. Of course when there’s food involved it’s not hard to entice them. I just wish that people gave more thought to what they feed the birds and more importantly teach their children that certain foods, like potato chips, can make birds sick. No kidding….when I got closer I saw what I thought was bread was actually potato chips.

Also these children were pretty young and they were very close to these big birds. I wonder if the parents know how nasty swans can get.
