…still no foliage but majestic none the less

…thanks to Sue W and GC for hosting Weekly Prompts https://weeklyprompts.com/2023/03/25/weekly-prompts-weekend-challenge-two/
I’m always so focused on finding trios for my Thursday Trios Challenge that I had to really search my archives to find ‘twos’.

…if you have no plans for tomorrow and need something to do on a rainy day head over to Neilson Park….you won’t be disappointed
I haven’t done any quilting in years but I always like to see what people are up to in the quilting world. Not only were there great quilts to look at and buy but there were vendors in one room selling everything you would ever need to start your own quilt. In another room the Quilters Guild at Neilson Park were selling ready made items and selling off some surplus supplies for all kinds of crafters and artists. I bought buttons, laces, ends of fabric and numerous other things that I’m going to include in some of my collages.

The highlight of the show of course is the wonderful selection of quilts on display throughout the entire centre.

The show was well attended today and we met people who came all the way from Sudbury, North Bay, St. Catharines and Waterdown to attend the show. It is open again on Saturday from 10:00 till 5:00. You can enjoy some coffee, tea and sweet treats in the café and even try your luck at the raffle table.
…Thursdays come around so quickly but I have managed to find some new trios

If you have any trios you’d like to share just copy my post and paste it into yours and I’ll get a pingback. I’ll be sure to leave a comment.
….lesson with Helen Wells
Today I listened to both videos but only had time to follow along with one of them. If I have time I will pull out my Geli Plate and make some papers for future collage projects.
Helen Wells was the first guest artist today and she took us through a fun drawing project that was focused mostly on colour. I follow Helen Wells online and have one of her books for inspiration. I’ve done similar assignments before and I always find them very meditative and relaxing.
