On my way to close up the cottage this weekend I stopped at Harris Farms. The pumpkin displays were amazing and they let the cows out on the pasture next to the displays. The children loved being able to get this close to the animals. One of them let her bladder empty and a little girl shrieked ‘look Mom, they pee’.

On my drive to the cottage today I stopped at Harris Farms to pick up some corn on the cob. I found seven heads of cabbage and seven jars of jam for today’s challenge.

Usually the turkey is a big deal but when it’s just the two of us, we tend to keep things simpler. Leading up to Thanksgiving we stopped at some favourite places and picked up some gourds for decoration, lots of vegetables and yummy butter tarts.
