Last weekend my husband and I and some family and friends took a day trip to the Aberfoyle Antique Market. There were lots of amazing old chairs.

For week 28 I found a lovely mix of chairs in the quaint town of St. Jacobs in Ontario.

This last one is the car seat after the passenger window exploded while my husband was driving on the highway today. No one was hurt and the window has been replaced. The shop figured a truck had kicked up a stone and hit it just right to cause this kind of damage.

As the summer draws to a close the seats up at the cottage are mostly empty now during the week. The last photo is of my granddaughter enjoying a book in a comfy chair at school while she waits for her Mom.

On Thursday I made a quick trip to the library at WAAC. After a short meeting I decided to head over to the museum which is literally around the corner. It was a beautiful day and there were lots of people on the street and some were sitting on walls to take in a fabulous group of street musicians.
Inside the museum I only had time to visit one exhibit. I have a membership so I know that I can come back at any time and take a closer look at things that really interest me. I chose to walk around the ‘Treasures of a Desert Kingdom’. What a wonderfully rich display wealth, art and culture.
Some of the most interesting artefacts were the chairs, thrones and modes of transportation.
If you’re in Toronto check out this exhibit. The royal family is still in existence today and kindly loaned the artefacts and jewels to the ROM.

Inside dinosaur eggs, chairs, benches, steps, stools, giant Muskoka chairs and electric scooters all make wonderful seats to rest our bodies.

A special shout out to our son-in-law for the last photo of our granddaughter with the line of dipping sauces in front of her.
