…in another week or two I should be able to find trees with blossoms and maybe some leaves
….poured too much paint
I hate wasting paint. I remember an artist saying that she never threw left over paint away. Instead she took a fresh canvas and applied all the leftover paint to it and then later created a new painting working intuitively.
I had poured so much blue paint onto my palette that I ended up completely covering three small, 6″x6″ canvases and one 12″x12″ canvas. When they dried I decided to experiment on the larger square canvas and play with painting lavender flowers. Before I did that though I did paint the sky for my second 15″x30″ piece.
Once I get going I can’t stop so I kept painting till the lavender piece was finished.
….finally completed my first big piece
I showed you how my tulip painting started and after several revisions I can now say that it is finished and ready to be sealed and wired. This is the biggest piece I’ve done to date. The canvas measures 15″ x 30″.
As you can see I kept layering and layering paint till I was happy with the results. Here is the finished piece.

Partners can me a number of things. I immediately thought of my husband and all the married couples that we know but partners can also be things that go well together, like wine and cheese, eggs and bacon, Batman and Robin, fork and knife, socks, twins, etc..

I love walking through the Colonel Sam Smith Park in South Etobicoke (west end of Toronto) and strolling along the walkways but I also like to take some of the side trails to see where they take me.

I love the waves on Lake Ontario and Georgian Bay where our cottage is. I won’t be going to the cottage for at least another month but the lake by our house never fails to provide some magnificent waves.
