Weekly Prompts Weekend Challenge – Nearby

I’m always amazed at how close wildlife will let you approach them before flying or waddling away. Seagulls are very use to humans but racoons shouldn’t be out in the daytime and this one certainly didn’t move one inch the whole time I took photos. I suspect that he wasn’t well, so I didn’t get too close. The bunny in our backyard is so familiar with us now that he doesn’t even freeze when he sees us.

Weekly Prompts Wednesday Challenge – Late Bloomer

thanks to Sue W and GC for hosting Weekly Promptshttps://weeklyprompts.com/2023/09/13/weekly-prompts-wednesday-challenge-late-bloomer/

While at baking this past week we noticed that the garden bed behind the inn was producing some very late butternut squash. Sadly many of these won’t grow to maturity because they are very late bloomers but you never know. If we get a few more weeks of warm summer weather some of them might have a chance.

To Bury the Truth

A trio of paintings with a somber message. These pieces were done by an indigenous artist, Amber Smith Quail that I have had the privilege to get to know this past year. They are part of her show at WAAC called Nawemaa / to be related.

If you have any trios you’d like to share, serious or funny, please copy my link and post it into your post. I’ll get a pingback and will be sure to check it out.
