…after such a mild January it’s not surprising that the shrubs and vines are confused
Since these photos were taken last week we’ve had snow but the temperatures are just hovering around freezing. Later this week that will change when the temperatures are suppose to drop to -24 degrees celsius.
…after so many sunless days it’s nice to see a sunset again
…with most plant materials lying dormant the remaining leaves, seedpods and bare branches have a dry and brittle feel to them

So far 2023 has been very wet. Lots of rain and mild temperatures. I know lots of people prefer this to colder temperatures and snow but I am not one of them. Give me a day with big fluffy snow flakes and brisk temperatures in January. Come March I will start to look forward to the weather we have now but give me some winter first.
