Thanks Jez. We found that pincer close to the ocean. It seems that the seagulls pick up the crabs and drop them from a height onto pavement to crack them open.

For now the shells are still on this beach but it’s close to home so if I ever want to add them to my art I know where to collect them. Thanks for the idea.
