….playing with my zoom lens at the Jumping Competition at the Royal Winter Fair

I love the zoom lens that my brother-in-law gifted me but I have to admit that for action shots it’s not that easy to get good shots. That’s true for me anyway. If any of my professional photographers who follow me have some tips I would be most grateful. Here are some of the better shots that I took earlier this week at the Horse Palace at the Royal.

Rhinos and elephants have the most interesting hides. They are thick, rough and lined with intriguing patterns. I couldn’t help myself when I saw this rhino family at the zoo last week. I just had to take some shots and the back ends were particularly textural.
