who still wears fur coats and have you ever seen a fruit like the one below?

I’m including these two photos because of the textures in them. The fur coats were on display at an antique market that I went to on Saturday and the fruit was in the green grocer in Bloor West Village on the day I was walking in the rain.

Has anyone ever tried this fruit? I’m very curious about the taste and texture inside.

love the texture of peeling paint

These lobster bouys are painted different colours to identify the fishing boat that they come from and it makes it easier for the fisherman to see where their lobster traps are located. Over time, of course the paint begins fade and blister.

Textures in Art – October 11, 2022

introducing some close-ups of the textures from the show Nature to Abstraction

There are many great pieces of art in the most recent show at WAAC but some have some outstanding visual textures.

Feeding the Cows and Texture Tuesday

on the way to the cottage on the weekend I stopped at my favourite Vegetable stand

This vegetable and fruit stand is located at the front of a farm where they not only grow vegetables but they also raise cattle. Today they put out food that the children and adults could feed to the cows. If you weren’t careful they often mistook your phones for food and would reach out with their long tongues. Those tongues were rough and the nostrils were slimy with a textured pattern.

Tuesday Textures – Beyond Its Best Before Date

….some things in my garden weren’t picked in time

When our granddaughter was here she went out every morning and picked the ripe and not so ripe tomatoes, peppers and beans. Now that she’s gone some of the bounty from my garden has been left too long on the vine. Miss you Winnie!

The textures here are wrinkled, withered, dried and ruptured.
