….during a snowstorm
Well I guess I’m exaggerating a bit but it was snowing and it was cold. When my husband said he wanted to walk in the snow and take some photos of the street I quickly put on my coat so that I could join him. I needed some more steps to get to my 10 000 step goal anyway.
It’s nice seeing some of the Christmas lights still on. This year people have decided that we need more colour and light in our lives because of COVID so many homes are still brightly lit in the evenings. It’s quite pretty against the snow.
….why draw another frog of course
Today the plan was to drive to Hamilton and go for another hike but after waking up with a headache and feeling listless my husband postponed the hike and sat at his art table. This new frog pretty much depicts how he was feeling in the moment. He decided he wanted to post it right away and come up with a happier frog for next Friday.
….if you have photos of anything with three people or three things why not join the fun
This week I’m posting a photo of my great grandmother and her two older sisters. I suspect that this photo was taken in the late 1800s or early 1900s. My great grandmother was married in 1902.

….first time I’ve been snowshoeing in the city with my daughter
It was a spectacular day. The sun was shining and the snow was still relatively fresh from yesterday’s snowfall. It was cold but there was little wind. The conditions were ideal for snowshoeing.
I have to say that this activity uses different muscles than mere walking or running. After two hours of traipsing through the snow we could really feel it in our hips.
