Texture Tuesday – November 8, 2022

love the texture of peeling paint

These lobster bouys are painted different colours to identify the fishing boat that they come from and it makes it easier for the fisherman to see where their lobster traps are located. Over time, of course the paint begins fade and blister.

An Evening Walk by the Lake – Day 8

thanks to Becky B for hosting Walking Squares https://beckybofwinchester.com/2022/11/08/walking-squares-8/

Now that the time change occurred it’s getting darker sooner in the evenings. I headed out towards the lake which is only 100 m from my house and quickly took some shots of the city skyline of Toronto and then turned around and I got shots of the sunset. Some of you may remember that less than a week ago you couldn’t see the city because of the fog.

It wasn’t even 5:30 when I started back home and it was already dark.

Walking Through the Leaves – Day 7

thanks to Becky B for hosting Walking Squares in Novemberhttps://beckybofwinchester.com/2022/11/07/walking-squares-7/

As the winds start to whip up and the evening rain comes down, more and more of the leaves are falling. On my walk I’m confronted with carpets of colourful leaves on the road.

A Walk Around the Block

….thanks to Becky B for hosting Walking Squares https://beckybofwinchester.com/2022/11/06/walking-squares-6/

November, so far has been incredibly warm for this time of year. I walked around the block this morning without a sweat or a jacket. I know my family out west won’t like this comment because they are experiencing very cold temperatures and have already had lots of snow.

Weekly Prompts Colour Challenge – Citrus Sinensis

….thanks to Sue W. and GC for hosting the Weekly Prompts https://weeklyprompts.com/2022/11/05/weekly-prompts-colour-challenge-citrus-sinensis/

According to Wikipedia Citrus Sinensis is as follows: Citrus × sinensis (sometimes written Citrus sinensis), also known as the sweet oranges, is a commonly cultivated family of oranges that includes blood oranges and navel oranges.[1]

I was sure I was looking for a lemony yellow colour but it turns out it’s more orange and can include blood orange.
