For Day 21 of Becky’s SquareUp challenge I found one of my favourite historical museums in Toronto all covered up for restoration work. This is Colborne Lodge located on the edge of High Park.

On day 18 of SquareUp I found this lovely stream, up the hill in High Park but it seems like someone turned off the water or it’s frozen somewhere further back.

Most of us use our phones and GPS to find directions but there are still lots of old fashion ways to find your way around. This sign in High Park is one of them.

Who says that dried up means ugly or lacking in beauty? I personally love how dried up leaves and plants look on a winter’s day.

I rarely combine two challenges into one but this shot in High Park today worked for Pull Up a Seat and January Squares. Day 15.
I’m a little behind so I’m catching up with three squares today. The next two are for days 13 and 14. The first one is Looking Up the Path. The path is almost completely hidden because of the leaves but there is a path there and the following photo is Uprooted. In the naturalized area of High Park the trees fall naturally when they die unless they are a hazard to the walkers and then they are cut down to avoid any accidents.

I could never get this close to any bird in the wild but these two birds were captured inside a snow globe and a Christmas ornament.

In our extended family we have three special pUPs. You’ve seen all of them at one time or another on my blog. Recently I posted a photo of Olive jumping up on the beach and I explained to some of you that Olive needed surgery. Well here she is back from the vet hospital. She ruptured a disc in her neck and after the surgery her prognosis is good. No jumping or running for awhile. That will be hard for this little girl.
The other two dogs are Frances who is 14 and Lucy who is 12 1/2. Their days consist of sleeping, sleeping, sleeping and eating and then sleeping some more.
