Wednesday’s Wacky Bird

Posted on December 16, 2020 by Mama Cormier

…another one of Kevin’s paintings for the granddaughters

We need a name for this handsome fella. Any suggestions? For some reason the name Fred comes to mind.

Monster Monday and Tuesday Birds are Returning

Posted on November 26, 2020 by Mama Cormier

….now that the weather is colder and painting outside is no longer an option my husband has decided to work on smaller pieces

One of the things that Kevin is particularily good at is drawing or illustrating fun creatures. He initially started making drawings for our first granddaughter over a year ago and then suddenly stopped. This week he decided it was time to bring back Monster Mondays and Tuesday Birds. Here are his first two drawings.

Wacky Bird Wednesday

….’it’s a hummingbird’

According to Winnie this is a hummingbird. It does have a long beak, I’ll give her that. We finally heard back on her reaction to this week’s Monster Monday. She declared that monsters visited her room and this one’s name was Fred.

Carrot Horns

Posted on March 4, 2019 by Mama Cormier

….that was my interpretation and not Winnie’s

Monster Monday is back. It looks like that sweet Sunday Rabbit was nibbling on this monster’s horns.

Winnie hasn’t seen today’s drawing. I’ll come back tomorrow with her comment if she makes one.

Sunday Rabbit

….it’s a rabbit. Hooray!

I’m guessing that our granddaughter is liking the cute things over the scary ones.

It’s Friday

….”It’s fishy Friday. Can I have some ice cream?”

I wish I could understand the thought processes of a three year old. Anyway here is Kevin’s contribution for Fishy Friday.

Big Eyes

Posted on March 1, 2019 by Mama Cormier

…Thursday’s drawing for Winnie was this crazy ‘eyed’ bird

Winnie’s response? “It’s a chicken!”

Another ‘Scary’ Monster

Posted on February 26, 2019 by Mama Cormier

….oh no, are they too scary again?

Monday’s Monster Monday generated this response from our granddaughter, “That’s a scary monster.” A few weeks ago she didn’t want to look at the Monday drawings because she knew they were monsters and monsters are scary. We’ll see how she responds to next week’s drawing.
