…Kevin forgot to send me last week’s monster so I have two to show you today
Both drawings were done on Procreate.
This Week’s Monster

Last week’s monster looks a bit too happy for a Monday morning but not all of Kevin’s monsters are grumpy or mean.
…except when they go after my food
Seagulls are typically known as ‘scavengers of the beach’ and can be quite a nuisance at take-out restaurants and food trucks that are close to the water. The seagulls that I love are the ones close to home where there are no lunches to steal. Sometimes people like to feed them and they can create quite a scene as they dive for food.

…some colourful Easter goodies from Eataly in Toronto
Before our trip to the ROM a couple of weeks ago we stopped in at Eataly for a bite to eat. The Easter goodies were on display and very tempting but the prices made us think twice. In fact we put the Easter chocolates back when a small bag (about 6 small Easter eggs) weighed in at $12.00. It was feast for the eyes only that day.
Happy Easter to all my Ukrainian friends.

…thanks to Xingfu Mama for hosting Pull Up a Seat https://xingfumama.blog/2023/04/14/pull-up-a-seat-photo-challenge-2023-week-15/
I’ve never seen people actually sit in these chairs but I can imagine on a nice day it would be lovely to look over the lake and the city.
….poured too much paint
I hate wasting paint. I remember an artist saying that she never threw left over paint away. Instead she took a fresh canvas and applied all the leftover paint to it and then later created a new painting working intuitively.
I had poured so much blue paint onto my palette that I ended up completely covering three small, 6″x6″ canvases and one 12″x12″ canvas. When they dried I decided to experiment on the larger square canvas and play with painting lavender flowers. Before I did that though I did paint the sky for my second 15″x30″ piece.
Once I get going I can’t stop so I kept painting till the lavender piece was finished.
