Tree Square – Morning Sun Through the Trees

….thanks to Becky B for hosting Tree Square in July https://beckybofwinchester.com/2021/07/21/tree-square-21/

The last few days in Toronto we’ve been adversely affected by the forest fires in north western Ontario. Hard to imagine that a forest fire thousands of kilometres from us could affect our air quality but it has. There was a haze that hung over the city and many people claimed they could smell the smoke. In the mornings the sun had an orange tinge to it and at night the moon glowed like a pumpkin. This is what the sun looked like as it came up through the trees in our backyard.

A Tree for a Loved One

All through the park there are trees with plaques in from of them to honour a loved one.

Monday Murals – July 12, 2021

….thanks to Sami for hosting Monday Murals https://sami-colourfulworld.blogspot.com/2021/07/monday-murals-banksia.html

Yesterday I discovered this storage bin in the children’s playground in my neighbourhood. I loved how someone took a relatively unattractive metal box and brought some life and joy to it with paint.

Well, Hello There!

….sometimes I get to see some unexpected wildlife on my walks

This week the ducklings were playing near the water’s edge with Mom and Dad close behind.

On my way back home as I turned the bend in the road there in the middle of the path stood this lovely rabbit. He stood perfectly still. I think he thought if he didn’t move I wouldn’t notice him but when I stepped closer he hopped off quickly into the tall grass.
