At the cottage this weekend I was intrigued with this rotted out old tree stump that I have passed hundreds of times on the way to the beach. If this tree could talk it would have some interesting stories to share.

The theme for August 10th was ‘visitor’. While at the beach up at the cottage we were graced with the presence of this gull. He actually came quite close to where we were lounging. They’re a pretty fearless bird. I’m sure he was hoping we had some food to share with him.

Little Treasures Everywhere
….you don’t have to look far to find things to put a smile on your face
Throughout the neighbourhood people are putting out painted stones with bright colours and special messages. Up the street the local yarn store has had customers knit or crochet flowers and has ‘planted’ them on the lamp post outside the store. On the rocky beach over at the park people are creating art with the bricks and stones from the beach.
