….not just the temperature and the amount of daylight hours
Last week I spent four days at the cottage. It was only my third visit of the season and next week I’ll do one more visit and close up for the winter. It’s been a strange cottage season for the lessees on Christian Island but I’ve enjoyed it non the less.
Even walking through the woods was prohibited but we were allowed to venture to the beach and up and down our lanes. I’m beginning to notice the signs that autumn and winter are on their way. When the winds start up the acorns land hard on our metal roof and make a loud bang. There’s not a lot of change in colour yet but there are signs everywhere that it won’t be long now.

One of my favourite photos I ever took (and use as the lock screen on my phone was taken in Ontario in October 2016, we’d come over from Scotland to celebrate my partners 50th birthday ! We camped in several of the parks and the autumn colours were amazing!

October is usually the best time to catch the colours in Ontario. It must have been pretty cold in the evenings for camping that time of year. Sounds like it was a memorable trip. Carol
