….days 125 to 128 of 365 Days of Art
Carla Sonheim prompted us to use four different colours of markers and/or pencil crayons to create new colours by layering the colours. Then we were to take those colours and create a series of made up birds.
I did this assignment in the evenings at the cottage when my light was not the best. It’s interesting how varied the colours are in different light. The colours I used are at the top of each page. You can see the original colour in the little square in the upper right hand corner.
….day 124 for 365 Days of Art
Using watercolour I added colour to a doodle that I had made last week. This time I looked for shapes and found a bird and a whimsical bee. With other shapes I created some abstract flowers. Here is the doodle before paint.
Here is the finished piece with watercolour and some extra Micron pen detail.

I took another doodle and added colour but this time I used watercolour and I made random circles and ovals all over the page. When it dried I added line detail with my Micron pen and I created a page of abstract flowers.
I made the doodle last week and I thought I had taken a photo of it before I started painting it at the cottage but apparently I hadn’t. I think you get the idea.
….day 121 of 365 Days of Art
After the paint dried I started adding black and white detail with my black Micron pens and white Signo pen. This part is so therapeutic and I let my inner child come forward.
…..day 120 of 365 Days of Art challenge
I was up till the wee hours of the morning painting these two pieces with acrylic paint. I couldn’t stop until I was done. The only reason I didn’t proceed to stage three was because the paint needed to dry. Just as well; I had to get up early today to go to my volunteer job to bake about 100 loaves of bread.

The next project will probably take three days to complete. The first stage was to draw a large doodle onto a large piece of paper without looking at the paper and then do another one but use my non-dominant hand while looking at the paper. Stage two is to take acrylic paint and start painting both papers at the same time. After the paint has dried than you go onto stage three and add line detail with black and white pens.
Here is stage one:
