From the Irving Eco Centre in New Brunswick on the North Atlantic Ocean. This was taken in October 2023 when we did a road trip to the East Coast. Both my husband and I agreed that the cloud formations were spectacular.

I’m taking another online art class with Julie Liger-Belair. She specializes in collage. Here is my first assignment.

Sofia explains that to capture a cinematic effect the photo may have: camera angles, bold and high-contrast colours, light, locations, just to name a few. The main objective is to take a shot that is part of a story, there’s mood and a sense of location; our image is but a snapshot of a much wider situation.









Not sure if I’ve met the brief but here is my interpretation of ‘cinematic’.

Looking back 10 years ago. It’s rare to see trumpeter and mute swans so close together. The trumpeter are the ones with the yellow tags.
