Shadows Cast in Venice

thanks to Becky B for hosting November Shadows https://thesquaresofb.com/2025/11/10/shadow-square-10/

One of my favourite places in the world is Venice and I feel privileged to have visited there 9 years ago. With climate change and rising sea levels I’m not sure that I’ll see Venice again.

Macro Monday – Peaking Through the Snow

…after yesterday’s freak snowstorm

A snowstorm in early November in Toronto is highly unlikely. Yesterday we had snow that lasted all day. The temperature hovered just above freezing and the roads were still warm so the snow melted when it hit the pavement. As the day went on, however, the snow started to stick and it became necessary to clean off the car.

It’s always unusual to see snow when most of the trees still have leaves and now on top of the snow we’re seeing these same leaves starting to fall on this fresh blanket of snow.

Thursday Trios – Scarecrows and Zinnias

back in PEI I saw these three scarecrows in front of the ice-cream store and the trio of flowers when I got back home
