Walking through my neighbourhood last weekend while the weather was still nice I came across some interesting doors. The first one I’ve loved for a year or so because of the bright yellow colour and the second one is the entrance to the local bike shop but on the day I took the photo a metal grate covered the door because the shop was closed for business. Despite the security grate I still think it makes for an interesting door.
….first day of spring here in Toronto but you wouldn’t know it from our trees
Even though we’ve had an unusually warm winter and March, after the initial snow storm in the first week, has been very spring like, our trees are still very barren. Other than that there are other signs of springs everywhere. Thanks to Becca Givens for hosting Sunday Trees.

Surely in my photo library I must have photos with crooked or squiggly lines. Cee, however, is asking us to use our imagination and find some interesting subjects. Seeing that I am somewhat housebound today I think I will explore the nooks and crannies of my home.
….and adding doodles around my Warhol sketch
Today I added some colour around my Warhol sketch during my art class with my grade twos. I was hoping to show some of their work here but they need a little more time to finish their portraits.
Yesterday I bought a couple of new pens and some coloured ink. I was really looking forward to playing with them and when I got home tonight I was able to do just that.
I also managed to get in over 10 000 steps again.

….no two years are the same
This week’s photo challenge asks us to take photos of what the season looks like where we live. February in Toronto is usually cold and white. At least the two years before this one were like that. Today the temperatures were mild and the only snow came from the skating rink after being cleaned. Here are photos from two years ago in February at Col. Samuel Smith Park and today in the same place.

It seems like only yesterday when we anxiously awaited the arrival of our first grandchild. Now, a mere four months later, we are stunned at her rapid development. What happened to that helpless infant back in October?
