Water, Water Everywhere – January 5, 2023

So far 2023 has been very wet. Lots of rain and mild temperatures. I know lots of people prefer this to colder temperatures and snow but I am not one of them. Give me a day with big fluffy snow flakes and brisk temperatures in January. Come March I will start to look forward to the weather we have now but give me some winter first.
New Flower (January 5, 2023) – Amaryllis Buds

This plant started out with two buds and was only a few inches tall. It now has three buds and stands at 18 inches. I’m looking forward to seeing it when it opens. It looks like it’s going to be white.

Christmas at the Centennial Park Conservatory
…all decked out in red and white with poinsettias, amaryllis, kalanchoe and more
Every year the Centennial Park Conservatory decorates the north greenhouse with a Christmas theme. It is well worth a visit.
