These New Bulbs Have a Bright Future in my Garden

Last fall two close friends gifted me 50 narcissus bulbs to plant in my front yard. Liz came over and helped my plant the bulbs around the tree, the hydro pole, along the wall and in the flower bed. They started to emerge last February and are just about ready to bloom.

The flowers are a remembrance to my father who passed away last October. Hopefully they should pop up every spring. If they are anything like my daffodils this year they will probably multiply over the years.

Bright Side of Life

Children always see the bright side of most situations. Rain….that means puddles….that means getting on your rain boots, or not, and jumping into the water to make the biggest splash possible.

Thanks to my daughter and son-in-law for the last two photos that I’ve posted to BrightSquare. When I do get to see my granddaughter she always wears a mask and stays a least six feet away. Got my first vaccine yesterday and hope that in two to three weeks we can see each other again. Right now the whole province is in lockdown again.

Bright Eyed and Minus One More Tooth

Luckily Dad helped extract this tooth before she swallowed it. Not sure what the tooth fairy would have done if that had happened. As you can see my granddaughter is pretty pleased with herself.

A Bright Idea

…before drawing butterflies in my next art piece I decided that maybe I should do some practice drawings first

Here is my first attempt at a butterfly. I think it is a bright idea to practise first. I discovered that adding colour after using my new fountain pen could be a problem because the ink from the pen bleeds when it comes in contact with water.
