….on day one I’ve started to draw from my new book In Bloom by Rachel Reinert
I’ve tried this before where I wanted to make art every day of the year. I made a lot but I didn’t quite hit 365 drawings in 2018. This year I won’t beat myself up if I miss a day or two but I’m going to give it another go. My husband gave me a book for Christmas that I asked for and today I cracked it open and drew the first two flowers featured in the book.
I’ve discovered over the years that I’m very much drawn to flowers in my photography and my art. I always believe there’s more to learn so I’m really looking forward to drawing and learning more about flowers.

what a fantastic start to the year, and a resolution shared by me.

Thank you. I really want to make this work but I need to come up with some kind of schedule. The day disappears so quickly otherwise and I find I haven’t done everything that I want or need to do.

It’s so hard to make a schedule too, I do have good intentions … always, but often just don’t find the time or take on too many art and craft projects.

You sound a bit like me. I did manage to get my steps in today and now I’m ready to sit and do some drawing. Where there’s a will there’s a way. I also want to do some knitting. I have at least three unfinished projects on the go.

Thank you Marcus. I have to come up with a plan if this going to work. I need to schedule a time for art, photography, walking, cleaning and cooking. Today I’ve only managed to clean and cook. A walk needs to happen in the next hour before it gets dark and I guess drawing will take place after dinner….for today anyway.
