A Word a Week Photograph Challenge – Remote

…..the word Sue pulled from her dictionary this week is remote

Remote to me means far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The beach where I have my cottage feels remote very early in the morning or early or late in the season. A great place to reflect.

A Word a Week Photography Challenge – Watch

Sue Llewellyn over at Word in Your Ear has challenged us again with the word ‘watch’.

When I first saw the word I didn’t think of the verb but rather the noun. Seeing that I don’t have any pictures of watches I had to look for pictures of people, animals or things in the act of watching. I think you may find some of these amusing.

A Word a Week Photograph Challenge – Water

….I’m very attracted to water

I live by water all year round. My home is 100m from Lake Ontario and my cottage is on Georgian Bay. My walks take me along the shores of the lake and our dog loves to swim in the lake.

A Word A Week Photograph Challenge – Contrast

….a challenge from Sue Llewellyn

To me contrast is not just complementary colours, side by side, but anything that makes something else stand out. Black and white and neutral colours make bright colours stand out and unusual groupings provide contrast. I love the dachshund surrounded by the bright pink flowers over the black and white stripes.
