He is a real person..a past romantic partner now a much-loved and loving long-distance riend who looks over my blog with a discerning eye. He actually helped me set it up many years ago and taught me how to “do” it. His real name is Doug and I call him “Duckie.” Forgottenman is his nom de plume.

So nice that you were able to remain friends. I have friends who are so bitter after breakups that they’ve never been able to move on and now they hate all men. So sad! They don’t, however, hate my husband or our son. Even though one friend frequently says this I’m sure there are lots of men that she doesn’t hate.
