The Gardens at the Amboise Château Royal

The gardens were created at the end of the 15th century. King Charles VIII was so impressed with the gardens in Naples that he commissioned a Neapolitan priest, Dom Pacello da Mercogliano to recreate a pleasure garden and quiet space.

Thursday Doors in Tours

Today was our last day in Tours. We had a wonderful two weeks in France and our home in Tours was exceptional. Here are four doors from the 19th century bourgeoise neighbourhood in Tours and the last three were on public buildings like the Opera House and City Hall.
