On the edge of the old psychiatric grounds there used to be a working farm which included an apple orchard. Some of the old trees are still there and I’d love to pick some of those apples but they’re so high up I’d need a tall ladder.

Walking through the grounds at Humber College I came across this tree that I thought was an Elm but after taking a closer look and doing some research I discovered that this is a Basswood.

On one of our walks this week we spotted this tree in the park and thought that the leaves were already turning colour. Upon closer inspection we discovered that pink colour on this unusual maple tree came from the keys.
