I was thinking about my dad. One time we stood on the bay looking out at the boats and birds. He stared straight ahead never once looking at me – never stopped talking. So I snuck away and watched him from afar with my husband maybe 20 feet behind him. After about maybe five minutes, he looked over at me and saw that I was gone. He was pretty furious! But my husband and I had a great laugh at his expense. I didn’t learn my conversation skills from him. 🙂
He never let anyone else get a word in edgewise, and never bothered to check to see if they even wanted one. I felt he brought it on himself, but it was mean of me. 🙂
Good question. I may have been the one to learn a lesson. I never did that to him again, but it did not stop him from talking. From what I understand, when he died someone was feeding him and he died talking.
Cute

I laughed when I read your comment because I honestly wasn’t thinking of you when I wrote that. We have a friend who is a real talker on the phone.

Lisa C. thought I was talking about her…I assured her that I had another person in mind.

What a funny story. I’m sure my father wouldn’t have been happy either if I’d done that to him.
