Your reflection shots are sweet Carol. The Swans are so elegant and still on my “to get” list. Nice one of the Great Blue Heron with the wings spread out! π

I was so excited to see the heron. They used to be on the verge of extinction.

Yes they were a long time ago. Herons and Egrets because they were killed for their feathers to adorn the wealthy ladies hats. They are no longer on the endangered list but it will take continued conservation efforts to protect them and all birds. The Egrets were the most sought after bird in the late 1800’s, early 1900’s. π

Yay for knowledge. The egrets were in much worse shape than the herons. Especially the Snowy Egret. Their plumes are so fancy.
