….from Buckingham Palace to Soho
Sunday and Monday were hugh walking days – 21 000 steps and 20 000 steps respectively.
On Sunday we had prebooked tickets for a tour of Buckingham Palace. We weren’t allowed to take photos inside but the audio tour was excellent and I think trying to take photos would have spoiled the experience. Once we were in the gardens we were allowed to take out our cameras out and shoot as many photos as we wanted. I would highly recommend the tour. I thought it was well worth the money.

From Buckingham Palace we walked along The Mall and through St. James Park. Near the end of the mall we went into the Institute of Contemporary Art and enjoyed a light lunch.

From there we went to Trafalger Square, Soho and China Town.

You are on the move, enjoy

Thanks Alice. Keeping up this pace is proving difficult. I may need a day of rest.

Thank you. My days are very busy with lots of walking. I’ve logged in over 130 000 steps this week alone.

After taking this shot I discovered that the London Eye is visible all over town.

Full of memories for me – as you know, I lived in Chinatown in the ’70s

I knew you lived in London but I didn’t know where. So far I’ve enjoyed all the different neighbourhoods that we’ve been to. Yesterday we were in Whitechapel.

Another fascinating place. I also lived in Brick Lane for a short time in 1972

Oh my! Look at the crowds!!
I’ve only been to London on a quick 2 day layover so I’ve never had the chance to really deep-dive into the city. There is just so much to see and experience!! Too bad photos aren’t allowed inside Buckingham Palace. I would have loved to see that!!
