I love the houses new and old that face Lake Ontario in South Etobicoke. The windows on these houses are so beautiful.

I love that neighbourhood. We’ve seen some changes over the years but the new builds have tried to keep some of the charm of the older places.

I agree with you, these are such beautiful, grand houses. And I love that it is also by the lake…must be an expensive area. Wonderful windows by the way.

The houses by the lake, especially with a direct view are more expensive than the other houses in the neighbourhood….almost double. Even our house which is about 200 m up the street but still has a view from the second floor goes for more money than the houses further north of us. Unfortunately most of the houses in Toronto are expensive. That’s why our youngest daughter and her family moved to New Brunswick. They couldn’t afford to buy here.

Well I guess nothing is free so one has to pay highly for the good views.

Unfortunately that seems to be the case.

Lakeshore Village is a great area for mid century homes, historic buildings and the dichotomy between the land and water. Such a nice place to take a walk and enjoy!

Having lived here for more than 45 years I have to totally agree.
