…thanks to Sue W and GC for hosting Weekly Prompts https://weeklyprompts.com/2024/01/20/weekly-prompts-weekend-challenge-bridge/
Ever since I started teaching the unit on Bridges from the grade 5 curriculum I’ve been somewhat obsessed with them. I love bridges but I wish I had more photos. The following bridges are from Venice, Florence, Loire Valley in France, London over the Thames, from Ontario, P.E.I., New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

All of these are really amazing 🙂

Wow, what a fabulous selection of bridges. I recognise number two, and I think it’s known locally as the Old Bridge. You’re the third person to choose it. Thank you for sharing these with our challenge.

I had to look it up but yes, Ponte Vecchio is often referred to as the Old Bridge. It was built in 1345 and was the only bridge in Florence that wasn’t bombed by the Germans.

I didn’t know about the bombing. I’m glad it survived.
