What picturesque places, Carol. Great doors. ๐

Thanks Marsha. Niagara on the Lake is one of my favourite places to visit. This is why I wasn’t with you guys on Tuesday.

We missed you! It looks like you had fun without us, though. LOL Beautiful place. ๐ You can tell us all about it next time. We told bear stories. ๐

Ohhh! I’m terrified of bears. I’ve never had an actual encounter but I thought that one was sniffing around our tent one night and I absolutely froze with terror. It was probably just a racoon.

We all had our racoon stories, too. Try to guess which one of us had a pet racoon.

I’m guessing it was you.

Good guess. But no, I was the one bit by a racoon.

I don’t remember who that was. Cee?

No, I was bit by the racoon. LOL The night that Terri Webster Schrandt stayed at our house in CA.

So who had the pet racoon?

You never found out? It was Judy. Unless I was listening wrong. Trained from a baby, they raised it.

I wish you could have heard her describing their relationship. Our experiences with raccoons were quite different. ๐

I’ll bring it up on one of our next calls.

Great idea. I had a fun chat with 4 bloggers that just started a new challenge, What’s on your bookshelf? Have you seen it? Three of the four are from Australia and the other is from BC. They do a weekly blog conversation with questions and an opening share of what they’ve learned over the week. I should have taken better notes, but Donna recorded it and is going to send it to me.

The first snow – that makes you in the mood for Christmas, eh? A funny thing: yesterday I saw our very young neighbors (barely 30) change their Chirstmas lights three times, from colored to white and then to blinking, why their pickup truck has been standing in the driveway stalled for weeks:) When I pointed this out to hubby, we both felt like THE parents:):)

It certainly does, Emille. Most of the snow has already melted but we’re due for more in the next few days. We have a young couple living next door to us as well and we’re always wondering why they do or don’t do certain things. They have a parking pad right in front of their house but always park on the street and they never open their doors for Hallowe’en.

Am laughing, because I don’t like to open the door for Halloween either, because I don’t celebrate it:)

Thanks Sheree. Great way to describe the homes in this community. All these houses were from one street but there are dozens more that are just like these in the old part of town.

Thereโs so much to like here. The doors, the houses, the porches, the gates and that wonderful accen of a little snow. There are so many nice ones, I canโt pick a favorite – OK, the one with the dog watching you take the picture ๐
Thanks for sharing these with Thursday Doors .

Thanks Dan. Niagara-on-the-Lake is a great little community all year round but is the busiest in the summer. My husband and I like going in the winter when there are fewer people. I loved the fact that the one house had the dog on the front porch, watching me take photos.

I understand. I like going to the shoreline beaches in the winter. I havenโt gone in the summer in over 25 years.

What’s not to like about Christmas doors? ๐ 118 is my favorite today, though.

I agree Janet. I’m a sucker for red doors. Our front door is the same colour.
