COVID numbers in Toronto and a few other urban areas in Ontario are on the rise so the government has closed bars, restaurants and gyms again in those cities most affected. We went for a walk through High Park this week looking for places to have a picnic later in the week. We were hoping to find washroom facilities and a place to purchase a coffee. We struck out in both areas. So sad to see these abandoned chairs at the Park’s only restaurant. The good news is that there are covered areas where we can sit and have a snack brought from home.
Lovely park. Sorry to hear that you’re going into more closures. So hard on business. The little, fun local ones are hit the hardest.

We’ve been relatively lucky with low numbers but I think it’s because we closed down early and for the most part most people here wear masks and social distance. I think people started to get a bit too careless when things started to open and now we’re back to where we were earlier in the year. We try to support our local business with take-out once in awhile. Instead of cooking a turkey for Thanksgiving we ordered from a restaurant down the street.

So sorry to hear about the rising of cases. Melbourne is doing good now, but who knows. Take care. and lovely shots of empty chairs by the way.

We thought we were doing well also but some people thought we opened bars and eat=in restaurants and gyms too soon. Looks like they might have been right. That’s where most of the cases started and spread.

Our country had one of the harshest lockdowns ever, so hopefully this works. But too early to tell. Hope all of us will get better situations soon, Mama!
