  1. Wow, I have never seen any trees that look like this; I love the combination of red and green. I live where the trees never change color…boo hoo…(up side of this is continual good weather) When I was a child and was bored in the summer, I got out books on trees from the library and wrote a report on them, just for fun. I recall being so amazed that trees in other parts of the country could be so different. Your lovely WordPress posts bring back memories for me. Thanks.

    • In spring we have a lot of trees like this on our street. They’re mostly flowering crabapple trees. The blossoms fall off after a couple of weeks and they are mostly green in the summer and in the fall the apples turn red and then fall off in the winter.
