Dinosaur ‘in the Pink’

….thanks to Becky B for starting off September with a new September Squares Challenge

The theme for squares this month is ‘In the Pink‘ and the one rule as always is that your main photograph must be square.

My first entry is from the ROM in Toronto where I saw this ‘pink’ dinosaur. As you can see it wasn’t really pink, just lit with pink lights. My granddaughter wanted to know what happened to his head.IMG_3857

A Roof With Memories – June Square

…thanks to Becky B for hosting June Squares – roofs

Today is the last day of June and also the last day for June Squares. In my travels along Bloor Street last week I passed an old building that holds many memories for me. It is UTS where I completed my teacher training before embarking on my 41 year career (35 years of actual teaching with 6 years off looking after my children). Not all the memories are positive but I did learn at great deal within these old walls.

Another Downtown Church – June Squares

…thanks to Becky B for hosting June squares – roofs

This is Trinity Bellwood United Church on Bloor St. in Toronto. I’ve lived in this city most of my life and this year was the first time I set foot in the place. Actually I’ve been there three times for three different concerts. A wonderful venue for music.

A Tiny Roof – June Squares

…thanks to Becky B for hosting June Squares – roofs

Today’s roof sits above the side doorway leading into Montgomery’s Inn. It’s made with cedar shakes and gives some shelter to guests or trades people who use this side entrance. Today was bread baking day at the inn and the brick oven sits next to this entrance.IMG_2774
