I love this park but I realized recently that I haven’t ventured out this far in awhile. Today I decided it was time to get back here and explore some of my favourite places. As I got closer to the pond I was actually shocked at how low the water level was. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it like this.

It really is low. I’ve never seen it that low before and to think a few years ago we were worried about flooding because the water levels were so high. It’s all cyclical.

We are so lucky to have this park so close by. We lived through the construction of it many years ago. I’m so happy that most of it is a naturalized area and houses much wildlife, including foxes, coyotes, beavers, turtles and lots of waterfowl.
