When you go to art galleries there are usually places to sit and really examine the art on the wall. The Women’s Art Association of Canada is no exception. When I was gallery sitting two weeks ago I went around the room and took photos of the interesting chairs in the Dignam Gallery.

These are all very elegant.

Funny how you can see something dozens of times and it’s not until you take a photo that you appreciate what’s there.

One can sit there to enjoy the art for a long time!

Can imagine that 😊

These are all very elegant. It’s nice that they use real furniture instead of purpose made benches.

The gallery is in a house over 100 years old. These chairs definitely fit the time period and decor of the house.

I find these a little odd. The pictures are at standing level and the seats next to them. I rarely see anyone sitting at an art show. No one is sitting on those seats either, LOL! 🙂

There was no one who came into the gallery the day I was gallery sitting. It was in the morning and it was a very cold day. I sat in one of the chairs when I wasn’t walking around looking at the art and talking to some of the staff.
