These are great Carol! Wonderful contrast! The Mute Swan would be a lifer for me. I think I probably saw one as a kid, but certainly not since I’ve been counting birds. 🙂

Thanks Lisa. We have so many up here. They are not indigenous to Canada and they have crowded out the Trumpeter swans so the city goes around every spring and culls the nests to keep them under control.

They have overtaken Florida too. They came and decided to stay and procreate. Florida hasn’t done anything about it yet. 🙂

The only downside is that I never get to see baby swans. I’m sure there are some somewhere but not in my neighbourhood.

Well if you are not seeing them, then maybe the predators are not seeing them. Maybe a good thing. 🙂
